It loves light. It is undemanding to soil fertility, it can grow on rocky soils, and it tolerates salinization. Application: single plantings, groups on rocky hills. It has been known since 1855.
It grows well on various soils, slowly in its youth. It loves light, but can tolerate lateral shading, and is wind-resistant. Its winter hardiness is high.
